Welcome to St. Mary's!

Dear Friends in Christ:

St. Mary’s Episcopal Church is a new parish in Andalusia, Alabama.  We encourage everyone to be a part of Gods family and use their individual God-given gifts. St. Mary’s is truly a place for all to seek the Lord and grow in spirit through our worship, study, fellowship and service. In accordance with our belief that service is love made visible, St. Mary’s provides many opportunities for people to discover and claim their ministries so that we, as God’s people, can further the spread of His kingdom in the world.  

From our establishment in 1947, the congregation of St. Mary’s has faced many challenges. Thankfully, we have also been blessed in so many ways. The writing of this profile has reminded us of all that we have accomplished, as well as new challenges in the years to come as we seek to renew our strength and continue the work of God’s church. We seek to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, to care for the needy, and to be open to the will of God for this church and this community.

We are anxious to learn, grow and, with God’s help see our visions for St. Mary’s fulfilled. 

While we go about our work in the community, we pray daily that God will grant our petition and provide us with a wise shepherd who will lead us in the Christian walk with diligence, understanding and faithfulness. We pray for his/her strength and endurance; that we may not be overwhelmed with our own needs and concerns, but work and grow together for the Glory of God.
